TERESA PETERS

Lactation Consultant and Perinatal Educator
Teresa Peters, co-founder of Pasadena Breastfeeding Center, is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), perinatal health educator, and doula and holds a bachelor's in maternal child health and human lactation from Union Institute and University. Her career began with the births of her four children when she devoured information about pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding and was inspired to empower others embarking on their parenting journey.
Prior to founding PBC, she spent 25 years teaching, consulting, and coordinating the Breastfeeding Center and Perinatal Health Education department at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, California. As a dedicated member of the San Gabriel Valley community, she is a lifelong advocate of informed decision-making for birth and breastfeeding families.
CHRISTINA TENORIO
MPH, BS, IBCLC, ICEA, DOULA
Lactation Consultant, Postpartum Doula, Perinatal Educator
Christina is the co-founder of Pasadena Breastfeeding Center and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with more than 25 years of experience supporting growing families. She holds a Master of Public Health from West Coast University and a bachelor's degree in Maternal Child Health and Human Lactation from Union Institute & University.
Throughout her career, Christina has provided compassionate, evidence-based care to thousands of families through prenatal education, lactation consultations, and postpartum support. She has developed and led perinatal education programs for healthcare professionals, patients, and community organizations across Southern California and has extensive experience caring for high-risk mothers and infants, including those in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena.
In addition to her clinical practice, Christina serves as an instructor in the Lactation Education Program at the University of California, San Diego, where she mentors and trains future lactation professionals. As a mother of two, she combines professional expertise with personal experience to provide individualized, family-centered care that empowers parents throughout their breastfeeding and postpartum journey.
